Cause

The YWCA opened its doors in 1897 to provide housing and services to women coming to Vancouver in search of education or employment. With over a century of experience helping women and families realize their full potential, the YWCA is now one of Metro Vancouver’s largest non-profit organizations.

Our vision is a just and equitable world for women, families and allies. We advance gender equity alongside women, families, Two-Spirit and gender diverse people through advocacy and integrated services that help support personal, collective and economic well-being, providing the best start for children and creating new opportunities for education, employment and leadership.
